My name is Irma, and I'm a true animal lover. I really wanted to become a veterinarian earlier in life, but unfortunately, my academic performance didn't allow for that. Throughout my life, we always had several domestic cats in our family.

I first came to own a semi-longhaired cat when Mayla entered our lives. Mayla was three years old at the time and was living with a young family. However, she couldn't adjust to the new baby and showed stress-related behaviour. We welcomed Mayla with love and to this day she remains a cherished part of our family. Mayla is a Ragdoll x Turkish Angora. Leia joined later to be a companion for Mayla. Leia is a Ragdoll x Persian – although they look very similar in coloration (both ladies are tortoiseshell), their fur differs greatly. While Mayla has long top coat and little undercoat, Leia seems to consist almost entirely of undercoat. Both ladies appreciate some extra help with grooming their fur.

It was through these semi-longhaired ladies that I first learned about the existence of cat groomers. Eventually, after all these years, it turned out to be my opportunity to work with animals after all, and I completely changed my career.

I thoroughly enjoyed completing the Cat Groomer training. Additionally, I expand my knowledge and experience as much as possible by regularly attending workshops, courses, and related training programs.
